2. In NH Annual Dental Insurance Maximums are Lower on the Exchange. For adults on the exchange the highest annual maximums are $1000 per person, however Off exchange insurers offers plans that have $2000 annual maximums.  

3. More Insurers- On exchange  there are only 2 dental insurers that market- off the exchange there are 12 different companies that sell individual NH dental insurance.

Overview of NH Dental Insurance 
When it comes to dental insurance coverage there are three common classifications that insurers use:

PREVENTIVE
Most insurers will include Oral Exams, Cleanings, Cancer Screenings and x-rays. Fluoride treatments and sealants for children are often covered in this category. 

BASIC
For most insurers, this category covers fillings, extractions,and emergency or palliative care.

MAJOR
Expect to find more costly items covered under the MAJOR category. These services will include gum disease treatment (perio), root canal therapy (endo), crowns, dentures and denture repair.

Some attractive HSA features are as follows:

• Contributions to an H.S.A. by an individual - or employer are tax deductible (like an IRA or 401k)
