As a parent of 5 daughters (and a car insurance agent) I would like to THINK i am an expert on teen driving and what kind of car is safe for a teen driver. But my expert status is self-proclaimed and unconfirmed, however, over at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) they ARE THE REAL EXPERTS on safe driving.
The IIHS offers a great deal of information that parents of teen drivers will appreciate including:
